A seafront villa
on the Greek island of Leros

Anna's Katikia is a real traditional farmhouse from the XVlll century restored with the maximum comfort and respecting the style that makes this villa unique. A paradisiacal and peaceful environment with 5000m2 of garden facing the sea, overlooking the bay of Gourna whose beaches of fine volcanic sand with its warm and crystal clear waters are ideal for swimming or canoeing. You could reach any of the villages of Leros in 10 minutes by car.

Anna's Katikia is a villa located in the quietest area of Leros in front of one of the best sandy beaches with more than one kilometre long. From its terraces you will see the breathtaking sunsets on the sea horizon. There are other beaches in the bay, each with its own particularity and all within a few minutes walk from the house or by kayak. Although the area is extremely peaceful and quiet, its strategic location in the centre of the island will allow you to reach any of the other villages or beaches in less than 10 minutes by car. You have a café within a minute's walk and two of the best fish restaurants within a 10 minute walk on the bay itself. The house is fully equipped and newly fitted out to provide maximum comfort without losing the essence of an authentic Katikia. The stone walls have been built with the remains of previous settlements built on this same property since the neolithic period. The width of the walls creates a cool climate in summer and warm in winter. The sound and the breeze of the sea offers a relaxing atmosphere and in the 5000m2 garden you will find many corners where you can relax, appreciate nature, watch the sunsets or pick fruit from the trees such as lemons, oranges, figs, pomegranates or mulberries. A few minutes walk away is the village of Drimonas with its picturesque fishing harbour and also some of the churches that are a tourist attraction in Leros such as the church of Agios Isidoros which is accessed by a small path that goes into the sea or the church of Agios Giorgios. It will certainly be a holiday you will not forget because it will be full of good feelings.

Guest Reviews

My husband and I booked Anna’s Katina on Leros for a four day trip with two of our friends who were visiting from California. Unfortunate my husband was sick with bronchitis, so our friends went without us. Here is their review:
“Daniel’s place is amazing. He was a great host. He met us down the road and we followed him to the house. The decor is delightful and the outdoor areas were great for reading and just enjoying the view. Don’t be put off by the small number of reviews. You cannot go wrong with Anna’s Katikia. Leros is a nice, laid back island and Daniel will take great care of you! We’re very happy this was part of our trip.”
Thanks Daniel for taking good care of our friends. My husband and I will check out your property for a future trip to Leros.

The place was lovely: a renovated old cottage, fully equipped, by the sea, with beautiful and relaxing sunsets and a great barbecue spot.
We visited with a toddler and had no issue in terms of safety.
Daniel has been super friendly, responsive and helpful all along.
We very much enjoyed our stay, relaxed a lot and we plan to visit again.

The house is an old converted traditional island farmer’shouse which was very recently refurbished with taste. The old stone work is visible throughout the house, thick walls keeping the inside cool.
The views on Gourna bay are superb with sunsets. The terrace is great for family dinners or lunches with a functional kitchen for those who like to cook as the island has great produce.
The sea is right in front with a café and two tavernas within walking distance.
Gourna is 10mins by car from most key places and beaches on the island where there is much to see from itsbric history (wreck diving, visiting WW2 Italian fortifications, byzantine castle, the amazing war musean and beautiful bays).
The house will comfortably sleep 5 with additional beds for 2 other people if needed. Ideal place for those who like a quiet location within reach of the busier areas of Leros. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again.
Daniel was an amazing host, kind, attentive and with ideas.

Daniel’s traditional house is a piece of heaven on earth. The place is beautiful, peaceful, surrounded by a big garden, and 5 min away from the beach, in a hidden area of the island, but just 10 min driving from the main activities. You will fall asleep and wake up with the sound of the Aegean waves. The house is curated in every detail by the owner, and fully equipped for a vacation of a group of 5/6 people, with a nice patio with a big table, an equipped kitchen, a hammock, a barbecue spot, and even a canoa! Daniel is a nice, helpful and caring host; his advice about the island have been precious for our holiday. Would definitely recommend!
